DEAD FLOWERS

'Made in Catalunya' is the original name of the catalan culture sample made by the Institut Ramon Llull in New York.

In this page Transports Ciberians is a bridge to 'Dead Flowers', who are three anonimous travelers who were in America in march with a videocamera. They went to the reading of catalan writers' poems by Laurie Anderson, Lou Reed and Patti Smith at the Baryshnikov Arts Center, in New York, commissioned by the Llull, and sended us some videos and audio clips.

The reading included poems by Perejaume, Pere Gimferrer, Blai Bonet, Joan Brossa, Maria Mercè Marçal, Maria Antònia Salvà, Vicent Andrès Estellès, Narcís Comadira, Josep Palau i Fabre, Joan Margarit, Francesc Parcerisas, Miquel Martí i Pol, Enric Cassasses, Joan Salvat Papasseit, J.V. Foix, Gabriel Ferrater, Salvador Espriu, Josep Carner, Carles Riba, Miquel Barceló, Sebastià Gasch, Salvador Dalí and Lluís Montanyà.

In the column of the right you'll find the videos and audios that Dead Flowers send to us —wich are not the whole performance— and the original texts with the translations used for the show. You'll find two diferent type of document for the audio clips: mp3 and aif. This is because some mp3 files can be problematic and we don't know why (do you?) so both are available. You'll miss the begining of Hawking, by Comadira, and a little piece of the ending of the Yellow Manifesto.
